Prophylaxis
(cleaning)

Healthy teeth should be all one color. If you see spots and/or stains on the teeth bring your child to the office for a thorough exam and cleaning.

Most insurances cover at 100% preventive exams, cleanings and topical fluoride application every 6 months.

Digital X-rays
(minimal radiation)

Many serious dental conditions can go unnoticed during a standard visual exam, so we employ state of the art digital X-ray equipment in all exam rooms. Digital Panoramic X-ray equipment is available for a more thorough view of your child’s mouth.

This equipment emits significantly less radiation than conventional X-rays.

Treatment

Fluoride protects teeth from tooth decay. It can even heal early decay. Bring us a sample and we will test your water for fluoride content.

Sealants

Sealants are a thin coat painted on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. Applying sealants is a simple and painless procedure that forms a shield over the tooth. Our office recommends and applies sealants during routine dental visits to protect your child’s teeth from tooth decay.

Nutritional
Guidelines

Feed your child healthy food. Choose foods that do not have a lot of sugar in them. Give your child fruits and vegetables instead of candy and cookies. Limit the intake of sweet beverages/juices and replace them with water.

Our Dentist will discuss with you the nutritional guidelines for your child based on her examination and your child’s individual needs.
